Progress with God is progress indeed. It has been confirmed that every product on earth is made of a combination of forces, factors, raw materials, or organs. For example, in the university system, you have various departments or units. You have the vice chancellor who oversees the entire university. You have the registrar, the accounting and bursary staff; other academic and non-academic staff, etc. Everything works together in synergy to ensure the university system functions effectively. In the same manner, some factors or forces must be in place for a person’s destiny to be fulfilled. Now, what are these factors or forces?i. Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:14-16. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Coming into prayer of agreement with someone is a pathway to healing. In the journey of life, I have discovered that confrontations can come without invitation or even provocation. Some confrontations could be in the form of attacks on health. Someone can slip into ill-health because of a satanic confrontation or an attack on the body. All these are attacks on one’s faith. People can also slip into ill-health by carelessness. Sin can be a major cause of ill-health. Now, how do you regain your health if you fall sick? The following are some avenues and provisions for recovery of health. i. Confession and forgiveness of sins (James 5:16).This is a situation where you go before God confessing your sins and obtaining forgiveness. SCRIPTURE: So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom. And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart. And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year. 1 Kings 10:23-25. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The wealth of God always follows the wisdom of God. All through Scriptures, it is made clear that there is a connection between wisdom and wealth. The manifestation of wisdom always triggers the release of wealth. Let me give you one example. Pharaoh made Joseph the controller of the wealth of Egypt because of Joseph’s wisdom. Joseph did not only interpret Pharaoh’s dream but prescribed the solution to the famine that was revealed (Genesis 41:39-43). This means, anywhere wisdom is present, wealth abounds. The wealth of God always follows the wisdom of God. Also, the Wisdom of Solomon brought wealth to him (1 Kings 10:23-25). Matthew 8: 16-17. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: At the Cross of Calvary, Jesus took away our sicknesses and diseases. It has been established that the Cross of Calvary is the final straw that broke the back of the devil and the gates of hell. At the Cross of Calvary, many changes or exchanges happened. Isaiah 43:21 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To praise God is to come to the point of recognizing that your life is consecrated to Him. You are welcome to the month of February 2023. In this month, I decree that God shall perfect all that concerns you, in Jesus’ Name. Our anchor Scripture reveals that we are formed by God and for God, for the purpose of showing forth His Praise. This means, having this understanding and allowing God to run or direct the affairs of your life is genuine praise and worship. Genuine praise requires total surrender. It is coming to the point of recognizing that your life and time on earth are not yours. Many years ago, we used to sing a hymn from the Methodist Hymnbook and SS & S that says; Take my life and let it beConsecrated, Lord, to Thee. Take my moments and my days,Let them flow in endless praise. When you come to the point where God owns your life and all that you have, you are offering genuine praise and worship to Him.
